Sue Peiffer is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt with over 30 years of hospital experience leading a variety of areas including clinical laboratory, infection control, radiation oncology, palliative care and performance improvement. Sue has extensive experience in service and performance excellence programs and has led or facilitated teams for many successful Lean and Six Sigma projects including decreasing length of stay by improving the discharge process, improving surgical services throughput, reducing infection rates and improving processes to increase patient perception results.
Sue is a Team Leader for the Wisconsin Forward Award program that promotes performance excellence using the Baldrige National Quality Criteria. She began a career in healthcare after a three-year tour of duty in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps. Sue is the President of the Board of Directors for the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic, a clinic that provides medical care to the uninsured and under-served people in the community. She supports efforts to create a world class healthcare system in Kenya (UBRICA One project).
