Abstract The study shows that long-term financial and operational results from the implementation of Six Sigma programs were mixed. A significant effect was found on free cash flow, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, and asset turnover. It appears that companies with low asset turnover could benefit more from process improvement implicit in Six Sigma than companies with high asset turnover.
