Abstract The community quality movement brings quality concepts and tools on complex social issues that affect communities today. Active community involvement makes it easier to accept final solutions. A review of Manitoba’s health and safety legislation demonstrates how community involvement leads to a successful outcome. Various ways to launch participatory events, such as public forums, are discussed.
