Abstract Healthcare organizations face the paradox of meeting federal requirements while meeting increasing expectations for business results. A model for systemic corrective action for the healthcare industry is outlined. The model features strategy implemented through quality initiatives driven by projects with clear measures and standards, and supported by rational, systematic corrective actions. The goal is to increase productivity and provide greater compliance with federal regulations.
