Listening to Customers

Abstract Human, economic, and technological changes in the international arena require that businesses deliver high quality value to customers. Fundamental to the competitive strength of any business is its ability to understand and implement the language of quality. This language recognizes that quality is what the customer says it is and places emphasis on quality leadership. For a company to meet the demands of the international environment and maintain its quality competitiveness, it must focus leadership in five quality process areas: more powerful practices to launch new products, more effective management of suppliers, consistent motivation of human resources, emphasis on the economics of quality, and development of new strategic leadership of quality itself.
