Abstract Innovation is both a change process and a social process. Quality tools such as the Baldrige criteria can help identify and manage the change process, and social networking can do the same for the social process. Combining a social network analysis and a Baldrige self-assessment gives organizations a tool for identifying otherwise overlooked organizational risks. The Organizational Assessment for Innovation addresses leadership and workforce focus within an organization. This provides information important to improving change management and strengthening innovation culture.
