Performance Measurement

Abstract Proper benchmarking for performance excellence involves more than financial metrics. The first step is to determine what metrics are key to identifying and meeting business goals. Then the right performance goals should be set to support the business goals. Finally, the right actions must be chosen to drive performance to the desired goals. Benchmarking is an ongoing process that requires leadership buy-in and accurate competitor information, and an organization with poor agility can suffer a delayed response.
