Member Leader Position Description

 General Description

Coordinate Annual Quality Improvement in Healthcare Conference in partnership with ASQ Healthcare Market staff sao that it meets needs of Division membership.

 Term

One year. July 1 to June 30.  

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Quality Improvement in Healthcare Conference in partnership with ASQ Healthcare Market staff.
  • Select papers and speakers for the annual conference.
  • Plan conference sessions in accordance with member needs and desires.
  • Participate in conference hosting.
  • Work with the member unit leadership to set goals/metrics to support the business plan; refine and improve conference planning process.
  • Communicate/report to the leadership status of performance against goals and metrics.
  • Ensure that conference offerings are being communicated to all members regularly and in accordance with their preferences.
  • Attend member unit leadership meetings and general membership meetings.
  • Uphold Society Bylaws, Policies and Procedures, and Section Operating Agreement.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be an ASQ member in good standing and a member of the member unit for which you are serving.
  • Preferably will have experience in conference planning.
  • Knowledge and experience in healthcare quality issues helpful and desired.
  • Preferably will have strong written and verbal communication skills.

 Time Commitment

Approximately 30 hours in the fall for conference planning, 4 days of WCQI/QIHC attendance, 3 hours per month outside of these concentrated activities.
